Job Description
The Executive Director will provide coordinated GPS representation to the business and lead the team directly responsible for coordinating GPS due diligence assessments and integration of acquired brands or companies into ELC systems and processes. The incumbent will establish a culture of cooperation and collaboration for the team and cross functional partners.
Working with stakeholders and cross-functional partners the incumbent will establish processes, templates and aligned standards to execute due diligence reviews and assessments and report findings and recommendations to management regarding requirements and timelines for purchase and integration of brands and/or companies. The team will take a leadership role in tracking integration activities and guiding the business to achieve necessary milestones for integration and compliance.
The Executive Director will strategically assess and recommend automated long-term solutions to replace manual stop gap work and will partner with Senior GPS leaders to clear roadblocks allowing working teams to achieve agreed upon KPI and milestones.
The Executive Director will assess the skills necessary to deliver against project objectives and create training and development plans to ensure the function has the skills necessary to deliver against corporate objectives.
As lead for the GPS NBE team and in collaboration with cross-functional partners and stakeholders the Executive Director will lead the GPS NBE function and following activities:
• Tailor and expand GPS assessment and integration process (SOPs) building in learnings previous acquisitions and their unique business model.
• Prepare GPS roadmap (process, checklists, templates) for assessing targets against current geographic presence as well as geographies of interest raw material and formula reviews.
• Prepare GPS roadmap for integration of acquired brands and businesses.
• Prepare GPS assessment reports for business leaders, lead discussion to review findings and recommendations.
• Prepare GPS regulatory integration roadmap and timeline against current and future geographies with GPS related milestones.
• Manage shifting team priorities, assign and track progress of projects and initiatives.
• Enable others to achieve project goals; provide direction and remove barriers.
• Provide cross-functional partners clarity on GPS integration requirements and timelines
• Build and leverage a cross-functional network throughout the company and across geographic boundaries to progress corporate initiatives.
• Provide oversight and quality review of dossiers (data, documents, PIFs) to facilitate integration per agreed timelines.
• Assess functional capabilities vs requirements, develop staff to address current and emerging enterprise requirements.
• Develop and share and meaningful GPS related updates on due diligence and integration at regular intervals.
Qualifications
• Minimum Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts with focus on biology, chemistry, biochemistry or toxicology
• Advanced degree in chemistry or life sciences is desirable
• 7-10 years minimum experience
• Less than 10% travel time
• Required Language Proficiency: English – both written and verbal proficiency,
• Additional language(s) desirable
• Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional and multi-cultural team dynamics
• Excellent communication skills to manage business expectations vs. technical team deliverables
• Meet tight deadlines while respecting the confidential and sensitive nature of mergers and acquisitions
• Strategic process assessment, development/optimization
• Excellent project/time management and multi-tasking skills
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail

• Acquisition is a critical strategic growth engine for the company, the Executive Director must be able to summarize and clearly share complex technical issues for all levels of the organization
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $147,000 to $252,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
